The DNase T Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6254) is a valuable tool for researchers studying DNase T, an enzyme essential for DNA degradation and regulation in various cellular processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to DNase T, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of the enzyme in different cell types, making it ideal for studies in molecular biology and genetics.DNase T plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by degrading DNA and participating in processes like DNA repair and apoptosis.
Its involvement in DNA fragmentation and chromatin regulation highlights its significance in cell biology and disease pathology. Research into the functions and mechanisms of DNase T is essential for understanding its implications in various diseases, including cancer, genetic disorders, and neurological conditions. Utilizing this antibody can provide valuable insights into the regulatory roles of DNase T and its potential as a therapeutic target in disease interventions.

This gene is a member of the DNA polymerase type-X family and encodes a template-independent DNA polymerase that catalyzes the addition of deoxynucleotides to the 3'-hydroxyl terminus of oligonucleotide primers. In vivo, the encoded protein is expressed in a restricted population of normal and malignant pre-B and pre-T lymphocytes during early differentiation, where it generates antigen receptor diversity by synthesizing non-germ line elements (N-regions) at the junctions of rearranged Ig heavy chain and T cell receptor gene segments. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms of this gene have been described.
