The DNM2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7890) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Dynamin 2 (DNM2), a large GTPase enzyme involved in membrane vesicle trafficking and endocytosis. This antibody was raised in rabbits and is highly specific for human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications for protein detection and analysis.DNM2 is a key player in cellular processes such as clathrin-mediated endocytosis, synaptic vesicle recycling, and membrane fission events. Dysregulation of DNM2 has been linked to various diseases, including centronuclear myopathy and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
The ability to detect and analyze DNM2 protein levels in different cell types provides valuable insight into its physiological functions and pathological implications.Researchers investigating intracellular trafficking, membrane remodeling, and neurological disorders will find the DNM2 Polyclonal Antibody a valuable tool in their studies. By targeting DNM2, this antibody allows for precise monitoring and characterization of this critical protein, advancing our understanding of its role in cellular processes and disease development.

Dynamins represent one of the subfamilies of GTP-binding proteins. These proteins share considerable sequence similarity over the N-terminal portion of the molecule, which contains the GTPase domain. Dynamins are associated with microtubules. They have been implicated in cell processes such as endocytosis and cell motility, and in alterations of the membrane that accompany certain activities such as bone resorption by osteoclasts. Dynamins bind many proteins that bind actin and other cytoskeletal proteins. Dynamins can also self-assemble, a process that stimulates GTPase activity. Five alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different proteins have been described. Additional alternatively spliced transcripts may exist, but their full-length nature has not been determined.
