The DNM1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18583) is a valuable tool for research involving DNM1, a protein involved in the process of membrane fission and vesicle formation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. It binds to the DNM1 protein, allowing for detection and analysis in various cell types, making it a crucial reagent for studies in cell biology, neurology, and cancer research.DNM1, also known as dynamin 1, plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including endocytosis, mitochondrial dynamics, and synaptic transmission.
Dysregulation of DNM1 has been linked to neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy, highlighting its importance in cellular function and disease pathology. Studying the function and regulation of DNM1 is essential for understanding its role in health and disease, providing insights for potential therapeutic interventions in related conditions.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 400-490 of human DNM1 (NP_004399.2).
This gene encodes a member of the dynamin subfamily of GTP-binding proteins. The encoded protein possesses unique mechanochemical properties used to tubulate and sever membranes, and is involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and other vesicular trafficking processes. Actin and other cytoskeletal proteins act as binding partners for the encoded protein, which can also self-assemble leading to stimulation of GTPase activity. More than sixty highly conserved copies of the 3' region of this gene are found elsewhere in the genome, particularly on chromosomes Y and 15. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
