The DNAJC2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB4633) is a valuable tool for researchers studying DNAJC2, a protein involved in protein folding and chaperone activity within cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the DNAJC2 protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential component for studies in molecular biology and protein folding mechanisms.DNAJC2, also known as DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 2, plays a crucial role in ensuring proper protein folding and preventing protein aggregation within cells.
Understanding the function of DNAJC2 is essential for unraveling the mechanisms of protein quality control and cellular homeostasis. Research on DNAJC2 is particularly relevant in the fields of neurodegenerative diseases, where protein misfolding and aggregation are key pathological features.By using the DNAJC2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB4633), researchers can further investigate the role of DNAJC2 in protein folding pathways and its implications in disease development. This antibody is a valuable tool for unlocking the secrets of cellular proteostasis and advancing our understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying various pathological conditions.

This gene is a member of the M-phase phosphoprotein (MPP) family. The gene encodes a phosphoprotein with a J domain and a Myb DNA-binding domain which localizes to both the nucleus and the cytosol. The protein is capable of forming a heterodimeric complex that associates with ribosomes, acting as a molecular chaperone for nascent polypeptide chains as they exit the ribosome. This protein was identified as a leukemia-associated antigen and expression of the gene is upregulated in leukemic blasts. Also, chromosomal aberrations involving this gene are associated with primary head and neck squamous cell tumors. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 6. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described.
