The DMAP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB19281) is a valuable tool for researchers studying DMAP1, a protein involved in DNA methylation and gene expression regulation. This antibody is raised in rabbits and specifically targets the DMAP1 protein in human samples. It has been validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for the detection and analysis of DMAP1 in various cell types.DMAP1 is known to play a critical role in epigenetic regulation, making it a key player in processes such as transcriptional activation and chromatin remodeling. Dysregulation of DMAP1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders.
By studying the function and expression of DMAP1, researchers can gain insights into the underlying molecular mechanisms of these conditions and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets.Overall, the DMAP1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers exploring the role of DMAP1 in various biological processes and disease states. Its high reactivity and specificity make it an ideal choice for studies in the fields of epigenetics, cancer biology, and developmental biology.

This gene encodes a subunit of several, distinct complexes involved in the repression or activation of transcription. The encoded protein can independently repress transcription and is targeted to replication foci throughout S phase by interacting directly with the N-terminus of DNA methyltransferase 1. During late S phase, histone deacetylase 2 is added to this complex, providing a means to deacetylate histones in transcriptionally inactive heterochromatin following replication. The encoded protein is also a component of the nucleosome acetyltransferase of H4 complex and interacts with the transcriptional corepressor tumor susceptibility gene 101 and the pro-apoptotic death-associated protein 6, among others. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
