The Diablo Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2564) is a valuable tool for research involving the protein Diablo, a key regulator of apoptosis and cell death processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the Diablo protein, researchers can effectively study its function and expression in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in cell biology, cancer research, and apoptosis mechanisms.Diablo, also known as Smac (Second mitochondria-derived activator of caspases), plays a crucial role in the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis by promoting the activation of caspases and facilitating cell death.
Dysregulation of Diablo is implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular conditions. Therefore, investigating the role of Diablo is essential for understanding the underlying mechanisms of these conditions and developing targeted therapeutic interventions.Overall, the Diablo Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2564) provides researchers with a reliable tool to explore the function and importance of Diablo in physiological and pathological processes, ultimately contributing to advancements in biomedical research and potential therapeutic strategies.

This gene encodes an inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP)-binding protein. The encoded mitochondrial protein enters the cytosol when cells undergo apoptosis, and allows activation of caspases by binding to inhibitor of apoptosis proteins. Overexpression of the encoded protein sensitizes tumor cells to apoptosis. A mutation in this gene is associated with young-adult onset of nonsyndromic deafness-64. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
