The DHX8 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB14724) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the DHX8 protein, a member of the DEAH-box RNA helicase family involved in RNA processing and innate immune response. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates strong reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications. The DHX8 Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to the DHX8 protein, allowing for its detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.
This makes it an ideal choice for studies in RNA biology, innate immunity, and viral infections. Understanding the role of DHX8 in these processes is crucial for advancing our knowledge of cellular function and developing targeted therapies for related diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1001-1220 of human DHX8 (NP_004932.1).
This gene is a member of the DEAH box polypeptide family. The encoded protein contains the DEAH (Asp-Glu-Ala-His) motif which is characteristic of all DEAH box proteins, and is thought to function as an ATP-dependent RNA helicase that regulates the release of spliced mRNAs from spliceosomes prior to their export from the nucleus. This protein may be required for the replication of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
