The DDX4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15624) is a key tool for researchers studying the DDX4 protein, also known as DEAD-box helicase 4, which is involved in RNA metabolism and germ cell development. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting DDX4 in human samples, making it ideal for a variety of applications including Western blotting.DEAD-box helicases are a family of proteins that play essential roles in RNA processing, translation, and RNA molecule remodeling. DDX4, in particular, is expressed in the testis and ovary and is crucial for spermatogenesis and oogenesis.
Dysregulation of DDX4 has been implicated in various reproductive disorders and cancers.By using the DDX4 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can explore the function and regulation of DDX4 in different cell types and tissues, shedding light on its involvement in reproductive biology and potential implications for fertility and disease. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of RNA metabolism and germ cell development, with potential applications in fertility research and cancer studies.

DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a DEAD box protein, which is a homolog of VASA proteins in Drosophila and several other species. The gene is specifically expressed in the germ cell lineage in both sexes and functions in germ cell development. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
