Description
DDIT3/CHOP Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21375)
The DDIT3/CHOP Polyclonal Antibody (AG10209) is a vital tool for researchers studying the activity of the DDIT3 protein, also known as CHOP, which plays a role in cellular stress responses and apoptosis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and reactivity with human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications.DDIT3, a key transcription factor, is involved in regulating genes responsible for cellular responses to stress and is a critical player in cellular homeostasis and survival. Dysregulation of DDIT3 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention.
By utilizing the DDIT3/CHOP Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can study the expression levels and activity of DDIT3 in different cell types and conditions, providing valuable insights into its role in cell biology and disease pathology. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in molecular biology, oncology, and neuroscience, offering researchers the ability to elucidate the complex mechanisms governed by DDIT3 and its implications in human health.

This gene encodes a member of the CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP) family of transcription factors. The protein functions as a dominant-negative inhibitor by forming heterodimers with other C/EBP members, such as C/EBP and LAP (liver activator protein), and preventing their DNA binding activity. The protein is implicated in adipogenesis and erythropoiesis, is activated by endoplasmic reticulum stress, and promotes apoptosis. Fusion of this gene and FUS on chromosome 16 or EWSR1 on chromosome 22 induced by translocation generates chimeric proteins in myxoid liposarcomas or Ewing sarcoma. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two isoforms with different length have been identified.
