The DDIT3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0221) offered by AssayGenie is a valuable tool for researchers studying the DDIT3 protein, also known as DNA Damage Inducible Transcript 3. DDIT3 plays a key role in the cellular response to DNA damage, endoplasmic reticulum stress, and oxidative stress. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to the DDIT3 protein, allowing for the detection and analysis of DDIT3 expression levels in various cell types.
Its reliability and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for studies in molecular biology, cancer research, and cellular stress responses.Understanding the function of DDIT3 is essential for unraveling its role in diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic diseases. By using the DDIT3 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can elucidate the mechanisms underlying DDIT3-mediated stress responses and potentially identify therapeutic targets for the treatment of relevant diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-169 of human DDIT3/CHOP (NP_004074.2).
This gene encodes a member of the CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP) family of transcription factors. The protein functions as a dominant-negative inhibitor by forming heterodimers with other C/EBP members, such as C/EBP and LAP (liver activator protein), and preventing their DNA binding activity. The protein is implicated in adipogenesis and erythropoiesis, is activated by endoplasmic reticulum stress, and promotes apoptosis. Fusion of this gene and FUS on chromosome 16 or EWSR1 on chromosome 22 induced by translocation generates chimeric proteins in myxoid liposarcomas or Ewing sarcoma. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two isoforms with different length have been identified.
