The DCN Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15048) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of DCN, a small leucine-rich proteoglycan involved in extracellular matrix organization and tissue repair. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry applications.DCN, also known as decorin, is known to interact with various growth factors and cell surface receptors, influencing processes such as cell proliferation, migration, and adhesion. Its involvement in modulating the activity of signaling pathways makes it a key player in tissue homeostasis and remodeling.
Research on DCN has implications for understanding diseases such as cancer, fibrosis, and connective tissue disorders. With the DCN Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and quantify DCN expression in various cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into its role in health and disease. Its specificity and reliability make it an essential tool for investigations in the fields of biology, medicine, and regenerative medicine.

This gene encodes a member of the small leucine-rich proteoglycan family of proteins. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. This protein plays a role in collagen fibril assembly. Binding of this protein to multiple cell surface receptors mediates its role in tumor suppression, including a stimulatory effect on autophagy and inflammation and an inhibitory effect on angiogenesis and tumorigenesis. This gene and the related gene biglycan are thought to be the result of a gene duplication. Mutations in this gene are associated with congenital stromal corneal dystrophy in human patients.
