The DCK Antibody (CAB1794) is a high-quality antibody developed for reliable detection and analysis of target proteins. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human DCK and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.DCK is a key player in the metabolism of nucleoside analogs like cytarabine and gemcitabine, which are used in the treatment of various cancers. By targeting DCK, researchers can better understand the mechanisms of action of these drugs and potentially improve their efficacy.
This antibody is validated for use in WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA applications and has demonstrated reactivity against Human, Mouse, Rat samples.

Deoxycytidine kinase (DCK) is required for the phosphorylation of several deoxyribonucleosides and their nucleoside analogs. Deficiency of DCK is associated with resistance to antiviral and anticancer chemotherapeutic agents. Conversely, increased deoxycytidine kinase activity is associated with increased activation of these compounds to cytotoxic nucleoside triphosphate derivatives. DCK is clinically important because of its relationship to drug resistance and sensitivity.
