The CYP11A1 Monoclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying the CYP11A1 enzyme, a key player in steroidogenesis and cholesterol metabolism. This antibody, produced using cutting-edge technology, specifically targets CYP11A1 in both human and animal samples, allowing for accurate and reliable detection in various experimental settings.CYP11A1, also known as cytochrome P450scc, is primarily expressed in the adrenal glands and gonads, where it catalyzes the conversion of cholesterol into pregnenolone, the precursor of all steroid hormones. Dysregulation of CYP11A1 activity has been linked to numerous diseases, including adrenal insufficiency, infertility, and hormone-related cancers.
By targeting CYP11A1 with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the enzyme's function and its role in health and disease. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the CYP11A1 Monoclonal Antibody is an invaluable tool for studies investigating steroidogenesis, adrenal function, and hormone-related disorders. Whether used in Western blotting, immunofluorescence, or immunohistochemistry, this antibody provides accurate and reproducible results, making it a must-have for any research project focused on CYP11A1 and its implications in human health.

This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the mitochondrial inner membrane and catalyzes the conversion of cholesterol to pregnenolone, the first and rate-limiting step in the synthesis of the steroid hormones. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. The cellular location of the smaller isoform is unclear since it lacks the mitochondrial-targeting transit peptide.
