Description
CUX1 Antibody (PACO62255)
The CUx1 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC06255) is a cutting-edge tool designed for researchers studying CUx1, a transcription factor involved in regulating gene expression and cell proliferation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. By targeting the CUx1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential asset for investigations in molecular biology and cancer research.
CUx1, also known as Cut-like homeobox 1, plays a pivotal role in controlling cell growth and differentiation, making it a key player in developmental processes and cancer progression. Its involvement in regulating gene transcription and cellular signaling pathways makes it a promising target for research into cancer therapeutics and personalized medicine. Understanding the functions of CUx1 is crucial for unraveling its potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment and other diseases.

Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with PACO62255 at 1:100, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). |
Background: | Probably has a broad role in mammalian development as a repressor of developmentally regulated gene expression. May act by preventing binding of positively-activing CCAAT factors to promoters. Component of nf-munr repressor; binds to the matrix attachment regions (MARs) (5' and 3') of the immunoglobulin heavy chain enhancer. Represses T-cell receptor (TCR) β enhancer function by binding to MARbeta, an ATC-rich DNA sequence located upstream of the TCR β enhancer. Binds to the TH enhancer; may require the basic helix-loop-helix protein TCF4 as a coactivator (By similarity). |
Synonyms: | Homeobox protein cut-like 1 (CCAAT displacement protein) (CDP) (Homeobox protein cux-1), CUX1, CUTL1 |
UniProt Protein Function: | CUTL1: Probably has a broad role in mammalian development as a repressor of developmentally regulated gene expression. May act by preventing binding of positively-activing CCAAT factors to promoters. Component of nf-munr repressor; binds to the matrix attachment regions (MARs) (5' and 3') of the immunoglobulin heavy chain enhancer. Represses T-cell receptor (TCR) beta enhancer function by binding to MARbeta, an ATC-rich DNA sequence located upstream of the TCR beta enhancer. Belongs to the CUT homeobox family. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |

NCBI Summary: | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the homeodomain family of DNA binding proteins. It may regulate gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation and it may also play a role in the cell cycle progession. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011] |
