The CTTN Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5795) is a powerful tool for researchers studying CTTN, a key protein involved in cell migration and invasion. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the CTTN protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze CTTN expression in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in cancer biology and metastasis research.CTTN, also known as cortactin, plays a crucial role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton and promoting cell motility.
Dysregulation of CTTN expression has been linked to increased cell invasiveness and metastatic potential in various cancer types. By understanding the function of CTTN, researchers can develop new therapeutic strategies targeting cell migration and invasion, with potential implications for cancer treatment.By utilizing the CTTN Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5795), researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of CTTN in cancer progression and metastasis, ultimately leading to the development of novel therapeutic approaches for combating invasive cancer phenotypes.

This gene is overexpressed in breast cancer and squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck. The encoded protein is localized in the cytoplasm and in areas of the cell-substratum contacts. This gene has two roles: (1) regulating the interactions between components of adherens-type junctions and (2) organizing the cytoskeleton and cell adhesion structures of epithelia and carcinoma cells. During apoptosis, the encoded protein is degraded in a caspase-dependent manner. The aberrant regulation of this gene contributes to tumor cell invasion and metastasis. Three splice variants that encode different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
