Description
CTAG1A/CTAG1A Antibody (PACO19523)
The CTAG1A Monoclonal Antibody (PAC019523) is a powerful tool for researchers studying CTAG1A, a cancer/testis antigen that is highly expressed in various types of cancer. This antibody, generated in mice, is specifically designed for use in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence applications. It targets the CTAG1A protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in cancer cells, making it invaluable for researchers in the field of oncology.CTAG1A, also known as cancer/testis antigen 1A, is a promising target for cancer immunotherapy due to its restricted expression in normal tissues and high expression in cancerous cells.
The antibody's ability to specifically bind to CTAG1A enables researchers to study its role in tumor development and progression, as well as its potential as a target for personalized cancer treatments. Understanding the function of CTAG1A is essential for developing targeted therapies that can improve outcomes for patients with CTAG1A-expressing cancers.

Background: | The protein encoded by this gene is an antigen that is overexpressed in many cancers but that is also expressed in normal testis. This gene is found in a duplicated region of the X-chromosome and therefore has a neighboring gene of identical sequence. Expressed in testis and ovary and in a wide variety of cancers. Detected in uterine myometrium. Expressed from 18 weeks until birth in human fetal testis. In the adult testis, is strongly expressed in spermatogonia and in primary spermatocytes, but not in post-meiotic cells or in testicular somatic cells (at protein level). |
