The CRYM Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3810) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CRYM, a protein involved in various biological processes including thyroid hormone activation and oxidative stress response. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity when detecting CRYM in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.CRYM, also known as Mu-crystallin, is a multifunctional protein that plays a key role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and protecting cells from oxidative damage. Its involvement in thyroid hormone metabolism and antioxidant defense mechanisms makes it a promising target for research in endocrinology and oxidative stress-related diseases.
By utilizing the CRYM Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can accurately analyze CRYM protein levels in different cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into its function and potential therapeutic applications in conditions such as thyroid disorders and oxidative stress-related diseases. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of CRYM biology and its implications in human health.

Crystallins are separated into two classes: taxon-specific and ubiquitous. The former class is also called phylogenetically-restricted crystallins. The latter class constitutes the major proteins of vertebrate eye lens and maintains the transparency and refractive index of the lens. This gene encodes a taxon-specific crystallin protein that binds NADPH and has sequence similarity to bacterial ornithine cyclodeaminases. The encoded protein does not perform a structural role in lens tissue, and instead it binds thyroid hormone for possible regulatory or developmental roles. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal dominant non-syndromic deafness.
