Description
CRYAB Monoclonal Antibody [P2E8AT] (CPAB0280)
The CRYAB Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0280) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Cryab, a protein associated with cellular stress response and protection against neurodegeneration. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for Cryab in human samples and is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.Cryab, also known as alphaB-crystallin, is a molecular chaperone that plays a crucial role in maintaining cell integrity and preventing protein aggregation under stress conditions. It has been implicated in multiple diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cardiovascular diseases.
By targeting Cryab, researchers can gain insight into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially develop strategies for therapeutic intervention. With its high reactivity and specificity, the CRYAB Polyclonal Antibody provides a reliable tool for investigating the function and regulation of Cryab in various biological contexts. Its use in research areas such as neurobiology, molecular biology, and disease pathology makes it an essential reagent for scientists working to unravel the complexities of cellular stress response and disease progression.

Background: | Alpha crystallins are composed of two gene products; alpha-A and alpha-B, for acidic and basic, respectively. Alpha crystallins can be induced by heat shock and are members of the small heat shock protein (sHSP also known as the HSP20). They act as molecular chaperones and hold them in in large soluble aggregates. These heterogeneous aggregates consist of 30-40 subunits; the alpha-A and alpha-B subunits have a 3:1 ratio, respectively. Two additional function of -crystallins are an autokinase activity and participation in the intracellular architecture. Alpha-B is expressed widely in many tissues and organs and occurs in many neurological diseases. |
