The CPT1A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5307) is a high-quality research tool designed for studying the role of CPT1A, a key enzyme involved in fatty acid oxidation, in various biological processes. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits strong reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to CPT1A protein, it enables accurate detection and analysis in a wide range of cell types, making it an excellent choice for researchers in the fields of metabolism, diabetes, and cancer.CPT1A, also known as carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1A, plays a crucial role in the regulation of fatty acid metabolism by facilitating the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for energy production.
Dysregulation of CPT1A has been implicated in various metabolic disorders, including obesity, diabetes, and fatty liver disease. Therefore, studying the function and expression of CPT1A with this antibody may provide valuable insights into these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions targeting fatty acid oxidation pathways.
Product Name:
CPT1A Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB5307
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 520-720 of human CPT1A (NP_001867.2).
The mitochondrial oxidation of long-chain fatty acids is initiated by the sequential action of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I (which is located in the outer membrane and is detergent-labile) and carnitine palmitoyltransferase II (which is located in the inner membrane and is detergent-stable), together with a carnitine-acylcarnitine translocase. CPT I is the key enzyme in the carnitine-dependent transport across the mitochondrial inner membrane and its deficiency results in a decreased rate of fatty acid beta-oxidation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
