The CPT1A Monoclonal Antibody (CAB22450) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CPT1A, an enzyme crucial for fatty acid metabolism and energy production. This monoclonal antibody, produced using mouse hybridoma technology, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CPT1A in human samples, making it ideal for applications such as Western blot and immunohistochemistry.CPT1A, also known as carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1A, plays a pivotal role in the transport of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for β-oxidation, a key step in lipid metabolism.
Dysregulation of CPT1A has been implicated in metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, and fatty liver disease, making it a promising therapeutic target for metabolic diseases.By utilizing the CPT1A Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of CPT1A in metabolic pathways and its potential as a therapeutic target for metabolic disorders. With its high specificity and validation for various experimental techniques, this antibody is a valuable tool for advancing research in the fields of metabolism, physiology, and metabolic diseases.

Human
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 520-720 of human CPT1A (NP_001867.2).
The mitochondrial oxidation of long-chain fatty acids is initiated by the sequential action of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I (which is located in the outer membrane and is detergent-labile) and carnitine palmitoyltransferase II (which is located in the inner membrane and is detergent-stable), together with a carnitine-acylcarnitine translocase. CPT I is the key enzyme in the carnitine-dependent transport across the mitochondrial inner membrane and its deficiency results in a decreased rate of fatty acid beta-oxidation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
