The CPSF4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10284) is a powerful tool for researchers studying CPSF4, a key protein involved in RNA processing and gene expression regulation. This antibody is produced in rabbits and has been extensively validated for use in Western blot applications, demonstrating its high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CPSF4 in human samples.CPSF4, also known as Cleavage and Polyadenylation Specific Factor 4, plays a crucial role in the cleavage and polyadenylation of pre-messenger RNA molecules, a critical step in gene expression.
Dysregulation of CPSF4 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, making it an important target for further study. This antibody enables researchers to explore the function and regulation of CPSF4 in different cell types and biological contexts, providing valuable insights into its role in RNA processing and potential implications for disease. By understanding the mechanisms underlying CPSF4 activity, researchers can uncover new therapeutic targets and strategies for treating diseases associated with dysregulated gene expression.

Inhibition of the nuclear export of poly(A)-containing mRNAs caused by the influenza A virus NS1 protein requires its effector domain. The NS1 effector domain functionally interacts with the cellular 30 kDa subunit of cleavage and polyadenylation specific factor 4, an essential component of the 3' end processing machinery of cellular pre-mRNAs. In influenza virus-infected cells, the NS1 protein is physically associated with cleavage and polyadenylation specific factor 4, 30kD subunit. Binding of the NS1 protein to the 30 kDa protein in vitro prevents CPSF binding to the RNA substrate and inhibits 3' end cleavage and polyadenylation of host pre-mRNAs. Thus the NS1 protein selectively inhibits the nuclear export of cellular, and not viral, mRNAs. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described for this gene.
