The COTL1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB4550) is a valuable tool for researchers studying COTL1, a protein involved in cellular processes such as cytoskeleton organization and cell migration. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in applications such as Western blot and immunohistochemistry.COTL1, also known as Coactosin-like protein 1, plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics and cell movement, making it a key player in processes like cell migration and tissue remodeling.
Dysregulation of COTL1 has been implicated in diseases like cancer, where abnormal cell migration and invasion are hallmarks of tumor progression.By detecting and analyzing COTL1 in different cell types, researchers can gain insights into its function and potential therapeutic implications. This antibody is an essential tool for studies in cell biology, cancer research, and other fields where understanding the regulation of cellular movement and organization is vital.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-142 of human COTL1 (NP_066972.1).
This gene encodes one of the numerous actin-binding proteins which regulate the actin cytoskeleton. This protein binds F-actin, and also interacts with 5-lipoxygenase, which is the first committed enzyme in leukotriene biosynthesis. Although this gene has been reported to map to chromosome 17 in the Smith-Magenis syndrome region, the best alignments for this gene are to chromosome 16. The Smith-Magenis syndrome region is the site of two related pseudogenes.
