The Cortactin Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB9518) is a powerful tool for research involving the protein Cortactin, which plays a key role in regulating actin cytoskeleton dynamics and cell migration. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for Cortactin in human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.Cortactin is a critical regulator of cell morphology and motility, making it a target of interest in studies related to cancer metastasis, cell signaling, and cytoskeletal dynamics. By targeting Cortactin, researchers can analyze its expression levels and subcellular localization in various cell types, providing valuable insights into its function in normal and disease states.
The Cortactin Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers in cell biology, cancer biology, and molecular biology seeking to unravel the complexities of Cortactin-mediated cellular processes. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for studying the role of Cortactin in normal cellular function and disease progression.

This gene is overexpressed in breast cancer and squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck. The encoded protein is localized in the cytoplasm and in areas of the cell-substratum contacts. This gene has two roles: (1) regulating the interactions between components of adherens-type junctions and (2) organizing the cytoskeleton and cell adhesion structures of epithelia and carcinoma cells. During apoptosis, the encoded protein is degraded in a caspase-dependent manner. The aberrant regulation of this gene contributes to tumor cell invasion and metastasis. Three splice variants that encode different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
