The CNR1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1447) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the cannabinoid receptor 1 (CNR1), a key player in the endocannabinoid system. This antibody, derived from rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the CNR1 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in neuroscience, pharmacology, and drug development.CNR1, also known as the CB1 receptor, plays a crucial role in modulating neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity in the brain. Its involvement in various physiological processes, including pain sensation, appetite regulation, and memory formation, makes it a promising target for research into conditions such as pain management, obesity, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Understanding the function of CNR1 is essential for the development of novel therapeutics that target the endocannabinoid system and its associated pathways.Overall, the CNR1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1447) offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of CNR1 in health and disease, advancing our understanding of the endocannabinoid system and its potential therapeutic applications.

This gene encodes one of two cannabinoid receptors. The cannabinoids, principally delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and synthetic analogs, are psychoactive ingredients of marijuana. The cannabinoid receptors are members of the guanine-nucleotide-binding protein (G-protein) coupled receptor family, which inhibit adenylate cyclase activity in a dose-dependent, stereoselective and pertussis toxin-sensitive manner. The two receptors have been found to be involved in the cannabinoid-induced CNS effects (including alterations in mood and cognition) experienced by users of marijuana. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different protein isoforms have been described for this gene.
