The CMA1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5668) is a valuable tool for researchers studying mast cell-specific chymase, an enzyme implicated in various physiological and pathological processes. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it ideal for applications such as Western blot and immunohistochemistry.Mast cell-specific chymase is known to play a crucial role in the regulation of inflammatory responses, tissue remodeling, and angiogenesis. Dysregulation of chymase activity has been linked to conditions such as asthma, cardiovascular diseases, and fibrosis, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target.
By using the CMA1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can accurately detect and quantify mast cell-specific chymase in biological samples, allowing for in-depth investigations into its functions and interactions. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of the role of chymase in health and disease, paving the way for the development of targeted therapies and treatment strategies.

This gene encodes a chymotryptic serine proteinase that belongs to the peptidase family S1. It is expressed in mast cells and is thought to function in the degradation of the extracellular matrix, the regulation of submucosal gland secretion, and the generation of vasoactive peptides. In the heart and blood vessels, this protein, rather than angiotensin converting enzyme, is largely responsible for converting angiotensin I to the vasoactive peptide angiotensin II. Alternative splicing results in multiple variants.
