The CLCN1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5739) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CLCN1, a chloride channel protein with critical functions in muscle cell excitability. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.CLCN1 plays a crucial role in maintaining muscle membrane excitability and proper muscle function. Dysregulation of CLCN1 has been implicated in muscle disorders such as myotonia congenita, making it a target of interest for researchers studying neuromuscular diseases.
The CLCN1 Polyclonal Antibody enables detection and analysis of CLCN1 protein levels in different muscle cell types, providing valuable insights for understanding the underlying mechanisms of muscle disorders.By using the CLCN1 Polyclonal Antibody in research studies, scientists can further elucidate the role of CLCN1 in muscle physiology and pathology. This antibody is a reliable tool for investigating the function of CLCN1 in muscle-related disorders, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions in the future.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 779-988 of human CLCN1 (NP_000074.3).
The CLCN family of voltage-dependent chloride channel genes comprises nine members (CLCN1-7, Ka and Kb) which demonstrate quite diverse functional characteristics while sharing significant sequence homology. The protein encoded by this gene regulates the electric excitability of the skeletal muscle membrane. Mutations in this gene cause two forms of inherited human muscle disorders: recessive generalized myotonia congenita (Becker) and dominant myotonia (Thomsen). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
