The CLCA1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15041) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CLCA1, a member of the calcium-activated chloride channel family involved in the regulation of mucin production and airway inflammation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is optimized for Western blot applications.CLCA1 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and cystic fibrosis. By targeting the CLCA1 protein, researchers can investigate its role in mucin hypersecretion and airway inflammation, shedding light on potential therapeutic targets for these conditions.
Given the importance of CLCA1 in respiratory health and disease, the CLCA1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of respiratory biology, immunology, and drug development. Its specificity and reliability make it an ideal choice for exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying mucin regulation and airway inflammation, ultimately paving the way for novel interventions in respiratory diseases.

This gene encodes a member of the calcium sensitive chloride conductance protein family. To date, all members of this gene family map to the same region on chromosome 1p31-p22 and share a high degree of homology in size, sequence, and predicted structure, but differ significantly in their tissue distributions. The encoded protein is expressed as a precursor protein that is processed into two cell-surface-associated subunits, although the site at which the precursor is cleaved has not been precisely determined. The encoded protein may be involved in mediating calcium-activated chloride conductance in the intestine.
