The Claudin-1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a highly specific research tool designed for studying Claudin-1, a tight junction protein that plays a critical role in maintaining epithelial barrier function. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is suitable for use in various applications such as immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.Claudin-1 is known to be involved in various physiological processes, including cell adhesion, polarity, and paracellular transport. Dysregulation of Claudin-1 has been implicated in a range of diseases, such as cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and skin disorders.
This antibody allows for precise detection and visualization of Claudin-1 in tissue samples, enabling researchers to better understand its role in disease pathogenesis.By using the Claudin-1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can further investigate the function of Claudin-1 in both normal and pathological conditions, ultimately leading to potential therapeutic strategies targeting Claudin-1-related diseases. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable tool for immunology, cancer research, and epithelial biology studies.

Tight junctions represent one mode of cell-to-cell adhesion in epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, forming continuous seals around cells and serving as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space. These junctions are comprised of sets of continuous networking strands in the outwardly facing cytoplasmic leaflet, with complementary grooves in the inwardly facing extracytoplasmic leaflet. The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the claudin family, is an integral membrane protein and a component of tight junction strands. Loss of function mutations result in neonatal ichthyosis-sclerosing cholangitis syndrome.
