Description
CKB Monoclonal Antibody [PAT8E4AT] (CPAB0244)
The CKB Antibody (CPAB0244) is a polyclonal antibody designed for research involving creatine kinase B (CKB), an enzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.CKB is a key enzyme in the transfer of high-energy phosphate groups in cells, playing a crucial role in energy production and utilization. Dysregulation of CKB has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
The CKB Antibody enables researchers to study the expression and localization of CKB in different cell types and tissues, providing insights into its role in cellular energetics and disease pathology.By using the CKB Antibody, researchers can further their understanding of the biological functions of CKB and explore its potential as a therapeutic target in diseases related to energy metabolism. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in fields such as cancer research, neuroscience, and metabolic disorders.

Background: | Creatine Kinase BB is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in brain as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar muscle isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized. |
