The CHMP1B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8239) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CHMP1B, a protein involved in endosomal sorting and trafficking. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity in detecting CHMP1B in human samples through Western blotting techniques. By targeting the CHMP1B protein, researchers can explore its role in cellular processes such as multivesicular body formation and autophagy.CHMP1B, a member of the ESCRT-III complex, plays a crucial role in membrane remodeling and protein sorting within the endosomal pathway.
Dysregulation of CHMP1B function has been linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. Investigating the function of CHMP1B with this polyclonal antibody can provide insights into its involvement in disease pathogenesis and potential as a therapeutic target.Overall, the CHMP1B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8239) offers researchers a reliable tool for studying the functions and implications of CHMP1B in cellular processes and disease mechanisms, making it a valuable asset for molecular and cell biology research.

CHMP1B belongs to the chromatin-modifying protein/charged multivesicular body protein (CHMP) family. These proteins are components of ESCRT-III (endosomal sorting complex required for transport III), a complex involved in degradation of surface receptor proteins and formation of endocytic multivesicular bodies (MVBs). Some CHMPs have both nuclear and cytoplasmic/vesicular distributions, and one such CHMP, CHMP1A (MIM 164010), is required for both MVB formation and regulation of cell cycle progression (Tsang et al., 2006 [PubMed 16730941]).
