The CHK1 Monoclonal Antibody is a highly specific antibody designed for research involving the CHK1 protein, a key regulator of the cell cycle and DNA damage response. This monoclonal antibody, generated in mice, is validated for use in various applications such as immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. It binds specifically to CHK1, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in different cell types.CHK1 is a crucial checkpoint kinase that plays a critical role in monitoring DNA damage and promoting cell survival under genotoxic stress. Dysregulation of CHK1 has been implicated in various diseases, particularly cancer, where targeting CHK1 has shown promise in cancer therapy.
Research on CHK1 and its role in DNA damage response pathways is essential for developing novel treatments for cancer and other diseases related to genome instability.Overall, the CHK1 Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for studying the function of CHK1 in cellular processes, DNA repair mechanisms, and identifying potential therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. Its high specificity and reactivity with human samples make it an ideal choice for researchers in the fields of oncology, molecular biology, and drug discovery.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage or the presence of unreplicated DNA. This protein acts to integrate signals from ATM and ATR, two cell cycle proteins involved in DNA damage responses, that also associate with chromatin in meiotic prophase I. Phosphorylation of CDC25A protein phosphatase by this protein is required for cells to delay cell cycle progression in response to double-strand DNA breaks. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
