The CGA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1239) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CGA (Chromogranin A), a protein involved in secretory vesicle biogenesis and neurotransmitter regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity when detecting CGA in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.CGA is primarily found in endocrine cells and neurons, where it plays a crucial role in the processing and packaging of secretory proteins. Dysregulation of CGA expression has been associated with various diseases, including neuroendocrine tumors and cardiovascular disorders.
By utilizing the CGA Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of CGA in these conditions and explore potential therapeutic strategies targeting this protein.Overall, the CGA Polyclonal Antibody offers a reliable tool for investigating the function and regulation of CGA, providing valuable information for advancing research in endocrinology, neuroscience, and related fields.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 25-116 of human CGA (NP_000726.1).
The four human glycoprotein hormones chorionic gonadotropin (CG), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are dimers consisting of alpha and beta subunits that are associated noncovalently. The alpha subunits of these hormones are identical, however, their beta chains are unique and confer biological specificity. The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha subunit and belongs to the glycoprotein hormones alpha chain family. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
