The CDKN2D Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6556) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CDKN2D protein, also known as p19 ARF. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the CDKN2D protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.CDKN2D is a tumor suppressor gene that plays a key role in regulating cell cycle progression and preventing abnormal cell growth. Dysregulation of CDKN2D has been linked to various cancers, making it an important target for cancer research.
Understanding the function and expression of CDKN2D is essential for uncovering potential therapeutic targets and developing treatments for cancer patients.Researchers focused on oncology, cell biology, and molecular biology will find the CDKN2D Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6556) to be a valuable asset in their studies. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is an essential tool for exploring the role of CDKN2D in cancer development and progression.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the INK4 family of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. This protein has been shown to form a stable complex with CDK4 or CDK6, and prevent the activation of the CDK kinases, thus function as a cell growth regulator that controls cell cycle G1 progression. The abundance of the transcript of this gene was found to oscillate in a cell-cycle dependent manner with the lowest expression at mid G1 and a maximal expression during S phase. The negative regulation of the cell cycle involved in this protein was shown to participate in repressing neuronal proliferation, as well as spermatogenesis. Two alternatively spliced variants of this gene, which encode an identical protein, have been reported.
