The CDKN1B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15632) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CDKN1B protein, a key regulator of cell cycle progression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and is ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the CDKN1B protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of CDKN1B levels in various cell types.CDKN1B, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1B, plays a crucial role in controlling cell growth and proliferation. Dysregulation of CDKN1B has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention.
By studying the function of CDKN1B, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying cancer development and potentially identify new strategies for treatment.Overall, the CDKN1B Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for investigating the role of CDKN1B in cell cycle regulation, offering researchers the opportunity to further explore its potential implications in cancer biology and drug development.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human CDKN1B/p27KIP1 (NP_004055.1).
This gene encodes a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, which shares a limited similarity with CDK inhibitor CDKN1A/p21. The encoded protein binds to and prevents the activation of cyclin E-CDK2 or cyclin D-CDK4 complexes, and thus controls the cell cycle progression at G1. The degradation of this protein, which is triggered by its CDK dependent phosphorylation and subsequent ubiquitination by SCF complexes, is required for the cellular transition from quiescence to the proliferative state. Mutations in this gene are associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia type IV (MEN4).
