Description
CDK8 Monoclonal Antibody (CAB23765)
The CDK8 Monoclonal Antibody is a high-quality antibody designed for research involving CDK8, a cyclin-dependent kinase responsible for regulating transcription through phosphorylation of the RNA polymerase II carboxy-terminal domain. This monoclonal antibody, produced and validated by Assay Genie, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it an ideal tool for studying CDK8 expression and activity in various biological samples.CDK8 is a critical component of the Mediator complex, which plays a key role in transcriptional regulation and gene expression. Dysregulation of CDK8 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention.
By using the CDK8 Monoclonal Antibody in experiments such as Western blotting and immunofluorescence, researchers can gain insights into the role of CDK8 in cellular signaling pathways and disease mechanisms.Whether investigating the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation or exploring potential therapeutic targets in cancer research, the CDK8 Monoclonal Antibody offers reliable and reproducible results for scientists in the field of molecular biology and oncology. Trust Assay Genie's expertise in antibody development to advance your research on CDK8 and its implications in human health and disease.

This gene encodes a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family. CDK family members are known to be important regulators of cell cycle progression. This kinase and its regulatory subunit, cyclin C, are components of the Mediator transcriptional regulatory complex, involved in both transcriptional activation and repression by phosphorylation of the carboxy-terminal domain of the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II. This kinase regulates transcription by targeting the cyclin-dependent kinase 7 subunits of the general transcription initiation factor IIH, thus providing a link between the Mediator complex and the basal transcription machinery. Multiple pseudogenes of this gene have been identified. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
