The CDK5 Monoclonal Antibody is a cutting-edge tool for researchers investigating CDK5, a key protein involved in cell cycle progression and neuronal development. This monoclonal antibody, generated using state-of-the-art technology, specifically targets CDK5 in human samples and is validated for use in a variety of applications, including immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry.CDK5, a cyclin-dependent kinase, plays a critical role in regulating cell division and differentiation, making it a crucial target for studies in neurobiology and cancer research.
Its aberrant activity has been implicated in various neurological disorders and cancer progression, highlighting the importance of understanding its functions and regulatory mechanisms.By using the CDK5 Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze CDK5 in different cell types, shedding light on its roles in neuronal development, cell proliferation, and disease pathogenesis. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing research in various fields, including neuroscience, oncology, and cell biology.
This gene encodes a proline-directed serine/threonine kinase that is a member of the cyclin-dependent kinase family of proteins. Unlike other members of the family, the protein encoded by this gene does not directly control cell cycle regulation. Instead the protein, which is predominantly expressed at high levels in mammalian postmitotic central nervous system neurons, functions in diverse processes such as synaptic plasticity and neuronal migration through phosphorylation of proteins required for cytoskeletal organization, endocytosis and exocytosis, and apoptosis. In humans, an allelic variant of the gene that results in undetectable levels of the protein has been associated with lethal autosomal recessive lissencephaly-7. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
