The CDK1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying cell cycle regulation and mitosis. CDK1, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase 1, is a key player in cell division and is essential for proper progression through the cell cycle. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for CDK1 and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunofluorescence. Its high reactivity with human samples makes it a versatile tool for investigating CDK1 expression and activity in different cell types and experimental conditions.
By targeting CDK1, researchers can gain insights into processes such as cell proliferation, DNA replication, and checkpoint control. Understanding the role of CDK1 in these fundamental cellular processes is crucial for developing targeted therapies for diseases characterized by aberrant cell division, such as cancer.Overall, the CDK1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable resource for scientists looking to unravel the complexities of cell cycle regulation and potentially identify new therapeutic strategies for diseases driven by dysregulated cell proliferation.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This protein is a catalytic subunit of the highly conserved protein kinase complex known as M-phase promoting factor (MPF), which is essential for G1/S and G2/M phase transitions of eukaryotic cell cycle. Mitotic cyclins stably associate with this protein and function as regulatory subunits. The kinase activity of this protein is controlled by cyclin accumulation and destruction through the cell cycle. The phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of this protein also play important regulatory roles in cell cycle control. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
