Description
CDK1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21725)
The CDK1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in studying the cell division cycle protein kinase 1 (CDK1), a key regulator of cell cycle progression. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot experiments. By targeting the CDK1 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of CDK1 in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology and cancer research.CDK1 plays a critical role in regulating the timing of cell division and ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during mitosis.
Dysregulation of CDK1 activity has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention. By studying the function of CDK1 using this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying cell cycle control and potential avenues for the development of novel anti-cancer therapies.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This protein is a catalytic subunit of the highly conserved protein kinase complex known as M-phase promoting factor (MPF), which is essential for G1/S and G2/M phase transitions of eukaryotic cell cycle. Mitotic cyclins stably associate with this protein and function as regulatory subunits. The kinase activity of this protein is controlled by cyclin accumulation and destruction through the cell cycle. The phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of this protein also play important regulatory roles in cell cycle control. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
