The CD99 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CD99 cell surface molecule, which plays a crucial role in immune regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the CD99 protein, researchers can detect and analyze this molecule in a variety of cell types, making it a valuable asset for studies in immunology and cancer research.CD99 is a key player in immune response modulation, functioning as an inhibitory receptor that regulates inflammation and suppresses allergic reactions.
Its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis highlights its potential as a target for research into diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions. By gaining a deeper understanding of CD99 activity, researchers can develop new therapies that leverage or modulate immune function in these disease contexts.
Product Name:
CD99 Polyclonal Antibody

CAB24663
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 23-124 of human CD99(NP_002405.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a cell surface glycoprotein involved in leukocyte migration, T-cell adhesion, ganglioside GM1 and transmembrane protein transport, and T-cell death by a caspase-independent pathway. In addition, the encoded protein may have the ability to rearrange the actin cytoskeleton and may also act as an oncosuppressor in osteosarcoma. This gene is found in the pseudoautosomal region of chromosomes X and Y and escapes X-chromosome inactivation. There is a related pseudogene located immediately adjacent to this locus.
