The CD82 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB9264) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD82, a cell surface protein known to be involved in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CD82 in human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the CD82 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in cell biology, cancer research, and immunology.CD82, also known as KAI1, is a member of the tetraspanin family and has been shown to play a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation, invasion, and metastasis in various types of cancer.
Its implications in cell signaling pathways make it a promising target for therapeutic interventions aimed at inhibiting cancer progression and metastasis. Understanding the function of CD82 is essential for unraveling its role in cancer biology and developing novel treatment strategies that target this protein.Overall, the CD82 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers looking to investigate the role of CD82 in cancer biology and cell signaling pathways. Its high reactivity and specificity make it a valuable asset for studies aiming to elucidate the mechanisms underlying CD82 function and its potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.

This metastasis suppressor gene product is a membrane glycoprotein that is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily. Expression of this gene has been shown to be downregulated in tumor progression of human cancers and can be activated by p53 through a consensus binding sequence in the promoter. Its expression and that of p53 are strongly correlated, and the loss of expression of these two proteins is associated with poor survival for prostate cancer patients. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
