Description
CD8 Biotin Monoclonal Antibody [NYRmCD8] (CPAB0365)
The CD8 Biotin Antibody (CPAB0365) is a high-quality antibody designed for research involving CD8, a cell surface protein that plays a critical role in immune response regulation. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it an ideal tool for studies in immunology and cancer research.CD8, also known as a co-receptor for the T cell receptor, is essential for the activation and function of cytotoxic T cells. The CD8 Biotin Antibody binds specifically to the CD8 protein, enabling precise detection and analysis in various cell types.
It is validated for use in Western blot applications, providing reliable results for researchers studying immune responses and T cell function.Understanding the role of CD8 in immune regulation is crucial for developing targeted therapies for diseases like cancer, autoimmune disorders, and viral infections. By using the CD8 Biotin Antibody, researchers can further explore the functions of CD8 and its potential as a therapeutic target in various disease contexts.

Background: | CD8 is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. CD8 acts as a co-receptor, and the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognize antigen displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules. The functional CD8 is either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains. CD8 identifies cytotoxic/suppressor t-cells that interact with MHC class I bearing targets. CD8 is thought to play a role in the process of t-cell mediated killing. CD8 alpha chains bind to class-I MHC molecules alpha-3 domains. |
