Description
CD8 Anti-Human [hCD8] (CPAB0305)
The CD8 Anti-Human Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0305) is a valuable tool for research involving the CD8 protein, which is primarily found on the surface of cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in applications such as immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry.CD8 plays a crucial role in immune responses by aiding in the recognition and killing of infected or abnormal cells. Its expression on T cells is a key marker of their cytotoxic potential, making it an important target for study in immunology and cancer research.
This antibody enables the specific detection and analysis of CD8 in various cell types, providing valuable insights into the immune response and potential therapeutic strategies for diseases such as cancer and infectious disorders.Understanding the function and regulation of CD8 is essential for deciphering the mechanisms of immune surveillance and response. The CD8 Anti-Human Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0305) offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of CD8 in health and disease, paving the way for advancements in immunotherapy and personalized medicine.

Background: | CD8 is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. CD8 acts as a co-receptor, and the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognize antigen displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules. The functional CD8 is either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains. CD8 identifies cytotoxic/suppressor t-cells that interact with MHC class I bearing targets. CD8 is thought to play a role in the process of t-cell mediated killing. CD8 alpha chains binds to class-I MHC molecules alpha-3 domains. |
