The CD70 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16810) is a vital tool for research focusing on CD70, a cell surface protein involved in immune responses and the activation of T cells. This rabbit-derived antibody is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for Western blot applications. By binding to the CD70 protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of CD70 in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology, cancer research, and autoimmune diseases.
CD70, also known as CD27 ligand, is a key player in the regulation of immune responses and the promotion of T cell activation and proliferation. Its role in immune system modulation suggests its potential as a therapeutic target for diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. Understanding the function of CD70 is essential for the development of treatments that aim to enhance or inhibit immune responses in these pathological contexts.

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27. It is a surface antigen on activated, but not on resting, T and B lymphocytes. It induces proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances the generation of cytolytic T cells, and contributes to T cell activation. This cytokine is also reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin sythesis.
