Description
CD62E Monoclonal Antibody [hCD62E] (CPAB0311)
The CD62E Monoclonal Antibody (CPAB0311) is a valuable tool for researchers studying cell adhesion molecules, specifically CD62E, also known as E-selectin. This antibody, produced in mouse, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in a variety of research applications.CD62E is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a key role in the recruitment of leukocytes to sites of inflammation. It is involved in the adhesion of immune cells to endothelial cells, a crucial step in the immune response to infection and injury. The CD62E Monoclonal Antibody binds specifically to CD62E, allowing for the detection and analysis of this important molecule in various cell types.Research involving CD62E is important for understanding the mechanisms of inflammation and immune response regulation.
This antibody is validated for use in techniques such as Western blotting, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry, making it a versatile tool for studies in immunology, inflammation, and vascular biology.By providing a reliable and specific reagent for the detection of CD62E, the CPAB0311 Monoclonal Antibody aids researchers in investigating the role of this molecule in various physiological and pathological processes. Its use can contribute to the development of targeted therapies for inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, and other disorders where CD62E is implicated.

Background: | E-Selectin belongs to a family of divalent cation-dependent carbohydrate-binding glycoproteins or adhesion molecules. CD62E is expressed on the surface of endothelial cells and mediates the interaction of leukocytes and platelets with endothelial cells during an inflammatory response. CD62E is found in cytokine-stimulated endothelial cells and is accountable for the accumulation of blood leukocytes at sites of inflammation by mediating the adhesion of cells to the vascular lining. It demonstrates structural features such as the existence of lectin- and EGF-like domains followed by short consensus repeat (SCR) domains that contain 6 conserved cysteine residues. E-Selectin participates in the interaction between leukocytes and the endothelium and appears to be involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. |
