Description
CD40 Monoclonal Antibody, FITC [hCD40] (CPAB0326)
The CD40 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0326) offered by Assay Genie is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD40, a cell surface receptor involved in immune activation and regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in various applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence.CD40, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, plays a crucial role in immune response by mediating interactions between immune cells. It is known to be involved in B cell activation, antibody production, and inflammation. The CD40 antibody binds specifically to the CD40 protein, allowing for its detection and analysis in different cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and cancer research.
Understanding the function and expression of CD40 is essential for uncovering its role in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders, viral infections, and cancer. The CD40 Polyclonal Antibody from Assay Genie provides researchers with a reliable tool to investigate the role of CD40 in immune responses and its potential as a therapeutic target in the treatment of immune-related conditions.

Background: | CD40 is part of the TNF-receptor superfamily. CD40 is a necessary mediator for vast range of immune and inflammatory responses together with T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell growth, and germinal center formation. The transcription factor AKNA regulates the expression of CD40 and its ligand, which is vital for homotypic cell interactions. Adaptor protein TNFR2 interacts with CD40 and serves as a mediator of the signal transduction. The interaction of CD40 and its ligand is crucial for amyloid-beta-induced microglial activation, and thus is thought to be an early event in Alzheimer disease pathogenesis. CD40 is the receptor for TNFSF5/CD40L. |
