Description
CD4 FITC Monoclonal Antibody [hCD4] (CPAB0299)
The CD4-FITC Antibody (CPAB0299) is a fluorescently labeled antibody designed for the detection of CD4, a key cell surface protein involved in the regulation of immune responses. This antibody, produced and validated by Assay Genie, is highly specific to human CD4 samples and is suitable for various applications, including flow cytometry and immunofluorescence.CD4, also known as T-cell surface glycoprotein CD4, plays a crucial role in the immune system by helping to identify and activate T-helper cells. By targeting CD4, researchers can gain valuable insights into immune function, making this antibody an essential tool for studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, the CD4-FITC Antibody (CPAB0299) is a reliable choice for researchers seeking to investigate the role of CD4 in immune function and disease. Whether studying T-cell activation in cancer research or immune response modulation in autoimmune conditions, this antibody provides a valuable tool for understanding the complex mechanisms of the immune system.

Background: | CD4 is a cell-surface glycoprotein found on the mature helper T cells and immature thymocytes, as well as on monocytes and macrophages. (Some cytotoxic T cells have CD4 protein as well.) Normally, about 65% of T cells in the blood are CD4+ (have CD4 protein protruding from their membrane). A mature T cell with either have CD4 or CD8, but not both. During one stage of development T cells develop CD4 and CD8 receptors, but they eventually are differentiated in the thymus and become more specialized. |
