The CD3E Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12415) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD3E, a crucial component of the T-cell receptor complex. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the CD3E protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of CD3E in various cell types, making it ideal for immunology and cancer research studies.CD3E is a signaling subunit essential for T-cell development and function, playing a critical role in initiating T-cell activation and proliferation.
Dysregulation of CD3E expression or function can have implications in immune-related disorders, making it an important target for research into diseases like cancer, autoimmune conditions, and infectious diseases. Investigating the role of CD3E in these contexts can provide valuable insights for the development of potential therapeutic interventions targeting T-cell function.

The protein encoded by this gene is the CD3-epsilon polypeptide, which together with CD3-gamma, -delta and -zeta, and the T-cell receptor alpha/beta and gamma/delta heterodimers, forms the T-cell receptor-CD3 complex. This complex plays an important role in coupling antigen recognition to several intracellular signal-transduction pathways. The genes encoding the epsilon, gamma and delta polypeptides are located in the same cluster on chromosome 11. The epsilon polypeptide plays an essential role in T-cell development. Defects in this gene cause immunodeficiency. This gene has also been linked to a susceptibility to type I diabetes in women.
