Description
CD21 Monoclonal Antibody, FITC [hCD21] (CPAB0320)
The CD21 Antibody (FITC) (CPAB0320) is a high-quality polyclonal antibody designed for research involving CD21, a cell surface molecule involved in immune responses and B cell activation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in flow cytometry applications. It specifically binds to the CD21 protein, allowing for the detection and analysis of CD21 expression in various cell types.CD21, also known as complement receptor 2 (CR2), plays a crucial role in the immune system by enhancing the immune response to antigens and facilitating the activation of B cells. Its involvement in immune regulation and antibody production makes it a key target for research in immunology, vaccine development, and infectious diseases.
Understanding the function and regulation of CD21 is essential for advancing our knowledge of the immune system and developing new therapies. This CD21 Antibody (FITC) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune responses, B cell function, and immune system disorders. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it ideal for flow cytometry analysis, allowing for the precise identification and quantification of CD21-expressing cells in experimental studies. Unlock the potential of your research with the CD21 Antibody (FITC) and explore the complex role of CD21 in immune function.

Background: | CD21 is expressed strongly on mature B cells, follicular dentritic cells and weakly on immature thymocytes and T lymphocytes. In B-cell ontogeny, CD21 appears after the pre-B-stage, is maintained during peripheral B-cell development and is lost upon terminal differentiation into plasma cells. CD21 expression is also gradually lost after stimulation of B cells in vitro. CD21 functions as receptor for C3d, C3dg and iC3b Complement components, for EBV and for IFNalpha. CD21 binds to CD23 and associates with CD19, CD81 and Leu13 to form a large signal-transduction complex involved in B cell activation. |
