Description
CD11b Monoclonal Antibody [hCD11b] (CPAB0327)
The CD11b Antibody (CPAB0327) is a polyclonal antibody specifically designed for research involving the CD11b protein, a cell surface marker associated with immune cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and granulocytes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunofluorescence.CD11b is a key integrin receptor involved in cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis. It plays a crucial role in the function of immune cells, particularly in the inflammatory response and immune surveillance.
The CD11b Antibody allows for the detection and analysis of CD11b expression in different cell types, making it an essential tool for researchers studying immunology, inflammation, and infectious diseases. With its ability to target the CD11b protein, this antibody is valuable for investigations into conditions such as sepsis, cancer, and autoimmune disorders, where dysregulation of immune cell function can have profound effects on disease progression. By understanding the role of CD11b in immune responses, researchers can uncover new therapeutic strategies for treating a range of immune-related disorders.

Background: | Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins consisting of an ? chain and a ? chain. CD11b is an I-domain including ? integrin combines with the ? 2 chain (ITGB2) to form a leukocyte-specific integrin referred to as macrophage receptor also called MAC1. The ? M beta 2 integrin is crucial in the adherence of neutrophils and monocytes to stimulated endothelium, and also in the phagocytosis of complement coated particles. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. |
