The CCT3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6547) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CCT3 protein, a subunit of the chaperonin containing TCP-1 (CCT) complex involved in protein folding. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the CCT3 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential component for studies in the fields of molecular biology and protein folding mechanisms.
The CCT3 protein is essential for the proper folding of many proteins within the cell, playing a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and function. Dysregulation of the CCT3 protein has been implicated in various diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes, highlighting the importance of studying its function and regulation. By using the CCT3 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of CCT3 in these diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention.

The protein encoded by this gene is a molecular chaperone that is a member of the chaperonin containing TCP1 complex (CCT), also known as the TCP1 ring complex (TRiC). This complex consists of two identical stacked rings, each containing eight different proteins. Unfolded polypeptides enter the central cavity of the complex and are folded in an ATP-dependent manner. The complex folds various proteins, including actin and tubulin. Alternate transcriptional splice variants have been characterized for this gene. In addition, a pseudogene of this gene has been found on chromosome 8.
